Export volumes of frozen cod were at their lowest level since 2015.
Norway’s exports of fresh and frozen cod dwindled in the first half of 2023 as a significant decrease in cod quotas and landings began to impact trade.
Both fresh and frozen exports were affected during the first six months of the year, but the frozen sector witnessed the biggest declines in both volume and value, according to the latest figures from the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC).
