Queensland’s vast range of exports are on show this week during one of the State’s largest trade missions.
More than 70 delegates representing close to 30 Queensland food and beverage companies are promoting their products at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai.
As one of the world’s largest trade shows, CIIE attracts more than 400,000 delegates and exhibitors from 100 countries.
The Premier officially opened the dedicated Taste of Queensland pavilion inside the Australian display today.
The Queensland exhibitors cover fine and premium Queensland beef, seafood, horticultural, wine and beverage, processed food and health and wellness products.
Sirromet Wine, Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, Tamborine Mountain Distillery and King River Ag are among the companies that are on the ground in Shanghai.
China is Queensland’s largest goods export market for the 12 months to September 2023, valued at $23.7 billion.
Queensland has a longstanding Sister-State partnership with Shanghai, which was first signed by late Premier Mike Ahern 34 years ago.
The Premier renewed Queensland’s Sister-State Agreement this year.
